In 2008, a relatively unknown Sydney band, PVT (then Pivot) signed to Warp Records (Aphex Twin, Flying Lotus, Grizzly Bear) after the release of their debut album 'O Soundtrack My Heart'. Since this milestone PVT have travelled from strength to strength coinciding their 2010 release 'Church With No Magic' with a legally motivated name change from Pivot to PVT. The second release marked a new vocal-lead direction for the band, and is arguably one of the most ambitious experimental rock records ever to come out their native Australia. PVT is renowned for the power of their visceral live shows. This elusive sound has been brilliantly tempered and expanded by the trio into brooding, melancholic experimental pop - an amalgam of rock synthesis, propulsive rhythms and huge melodic strength.
